24 Hour Famine
What: 24 Hour Famine
Where does the money go? This year, World Vision is donating the money that is raised from the famine to children in Chennai, India. If you’d like to know more, just ask. I also have a short video I will be showing participants.
How to raise money: I will hand out sponsor forms to all participants, and everyone will try to raise as much money as possible. Usually people get about 10 sponsors with donations from about 5.00$ and up. But do what you can, every little bit helps! There will be a contest to see who raises the most, and a prize will be given to the winner.
When: On April 26th-27th, 2008. We will meet at the school shortly before dinner and either have a potluck, although we must make sure not to have leftovers, they may be tempting, or we will find other arrangements. But we will eat a meal before the famine, to make sure everyone is well nourished before we begin. The famine will begin around 7 or 8 (the dinner will be a very early one) and I will give more details soon!
Where: At the school, we will have teacher chaperons, Mr. Ferraro being one.
What to bring: a sleeping bag and pillow, toiletries, stuff to entertain yourself, such as books, games, etc. and anything else you think you might need.
If you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to email me at sari.park@hotmail.com
